For a long time, darts has been primarily known as entertainment enjoyed while consuming alcohol. However, we aim to change this perception and envision a future where darts is dissociated from alcohol and further expands as a sport. Particularly, Malaysia, being a predominantly Islamic country, has a culture where alcohol is not common. Therefore, the conventional association of darts with alcoholic recreation poses challenges for widespread adoption.

However, Malaysia’s consistently hot weather and daily rainfall make indoor sports preferable. Darts excels in this regard as it can be played indoors without requiring significant space. Additionally, the advantage of connecting with players from both domestic and international locations remotely through Wi-Fi further enhances its appeal.

In our initiative to promote darts as a sport, it is essential to create an environment where individuals can understand and enjoy the appeal of darts from a young age. From this perspective, we plan to establish dart clubs, particularly in international schools in Malaysia, to provide students with opportunities to experience the enjoyment and sporting aspects of darts.

Through these efforts, we anticipate that darts will establish itself as a sport in Malaysia, transcending its previous association with alcohol, and becoming a beloved activity for the new generation.
